There are many challenges that a fostercarer has to contend with that are present in regular parenting, they are just possibly 150% worse in fostering, at least that’s how it sometimes feels.

I’m happily shopping and my phone rings. A familiar caller I.D flashes (school) I answer with a big Sighhhh. Often it means a child is exaggerating illness in order to come home. Not this time.

Good Friday marked the start of the school autumn vacation, it’s a stay-cation because unfortunately taking so many kiddies away costs a great deal of money. That’s ok we’ll still have a great time.
